There are three cinemas in Rodos, namely METROPOLE, PALAS, and TITANIA , screening modern films that update almost twice a week. In addition, for the dedicated cinephiles there is a Cinema Club, screening more classic films once a week in the Municipal Theatre.

The Rodos Municipal Theatre Organization stages various plays during the period from March to November. In addition, child performances are held occasionally.

A free-entrance folkdances performance, being held in Rodos Municipal Theatre every Monday evening. Children, and adults members of the Cultural Organizations of various municipalities and communities of the island dance the famous “Sousta”, “Kalamatiano”, “Syrto” and other traditional dances.

This theatrical-musical 2-hour performance staged by the Rodos Municipal Theatre Organization held in the National Theatre shows visitors traditions & customs of everyday life in Rodos from past to present. Traditional wedding customs, comedy sketches, as well as contemporary music solists performing live popular Greek songs.

It is true to say that Greeks are in love with night entertainment. During the period from November to March, more than 12 Night Clubs, in the city of Rodos, await visitors to offer them a sense of Greek “kefi” (enjoyment). Of those night clubs, 6 offer live Greek music (what Greeks refer to as “Bouzoukia”), and 6 night clubs & disco with D.J. music. Of course, for those that would like to spend a more quiet evening a number of caf? are at their disposal. All of the caf? below are located in city center. An additional number of caf? are located in the city’s residential area including a number of Internet Caf? (not listed below):

The only Playboy Casino in the world will open in Rodos in the majestic Hotel de Roses and will be fully operational by mid-July 1998. The hotel will be completely restored, with 31 luxurious suites, a shopping arcade including a souvenir shop, caf?, bars and a luxurious 80-seater restaurant. More than 300 slot machines, and 30 gaming tables including 14 roulete, 10 black jacks, semi de faire, stand pokers and other games will keep visitors adrenaline high!
