Lindos, is the main tourist destination on the island. The village is famous for its Acropolis with the castle of the Knights, the traditional architecture of the houses, the narrow alleys, the beautiful sandy beach and the very active nightlife. Lindos was famous in acient times for its naval force. Today the 700 inhabitants make their living almost exclusively from tourism. From here you can reach easily the southwest part of Rhodes with the pictoresques villages and fabulous beaches. Lindos can also be reach by boat from the Mandraki harbour.
