photo of Faliraki bay The bay of Faliraki is one of the most important tourist places on the island of Rhodes. It is situated on the east coast, just 16km from the center of the city. The sandy, kilometers-long beach with water sports facilities in combination with the intense nightlife, attracts mostly young people from all around Europe. Ideal place for hot summer days + nights!

    Places to visit:
  • The Acropolis of Erimokastro, which belongs to the Mycenean period (1500-1100 BC).
  • The three small monasteries, just outside the village of Kalithies, with old Orthodox Icons and interesting architecture.
  • The pictoresque streets of Kalithies village.
Recent excavations revealed that in the local cave of Kalamonia lived the most ancient man on the island (4000 BC). In another nearing cave, elephant bones were found.
