Archangelos is a large village, just inland, still
mostly untouched by tourism. Overlooked by a crumbling castle and surrounded by extensive
orange, lemon and fig orchards, olive groves and vineyards. Apart from the fine
agricultural products, the village is famous for its traditional carpets and its
idiosyncratic leather boots, witch can be worn on either foot. Another characteristic of
the village are the striking colors used for the painting of the different elements of the
houses.
